WIT-NC stands with Ukraine. As a result of the Russian invasion, Ukraine is in a human rights and humanitarian crisis. About 6.48 million people are estimated to be displaced within the borders of Ukraine, and more than 3.3 million people have fled Ukraine, becoming refugees. The vast majority ofrefugees are women and children, who are at particular risk of trafficking, sexual exploitation, and gender-based violence. More than 2 million of the refugees are in Poland. These are a few of the Charities suggested by our Programs Co-Director and one of our Corporate members who have family and personal ties to Ukraine. Please support them and Stand with Ukraine.

Description

Humanitarian Nova Poshta

Nova Poshta is essentially the FedEx of Ukraine. Once the war started, they launched an initiative to maintain supply chains throughout the country. This is an excellent (and well needed) service that undergirds many of the efforts of other charitable organizations as well as the Ukrainian Defense Force.

Individual First Aid Kits (IFAKs) for Ukraine

A fund established by some former Peace Corps colleagues of mine who are putting together first aid kits for Ukrainian citizens and armed forces.

Повернись Живим “Come Back Alive”

One of the best national donation

This was also one of the charities that was recommended by a Ukrainian friend of mine who is currently fighting over there.

Help Ukraine Central NJ

Established by a Ukrainian work colleague of mine at my current company, this is an Amazon wish list that was set up in collaboration with contacts in Poland to deliver the goods to people in Ukraine. Somewhat like a Family Giving Tree for humanitarian aid.

Red Cross Ukraine

Red Cross is doing great work for relief efforts in the country.
